These Emulators not only let you play all your old favourites again, but the spectrum is easy to program as well (once you work out the keyboard layout!) |

Emulators ZX32 This is simply the best emulator available for the PC. It emulates all forms of the spectrum, and supports most of the formats including .sna, .z80 and .tap. It also has the most comprehensive set of controls over the emulators behavior, and the best sound capabilities. It requires Windows 9x, and preferably a Pentium machine. |
Games There are thousands of games on the internet and the largest download will only ever be 48K, so get downloading! Click above for a couple of my favorites. |
Spectaculator This is about the best Windows based emulator in my opinion, although it is commercial and a fee is required to use it after the trial period R80 This is another emulator that seems ok. When running in a Windows 95/98 DOS box it takes advantage of long filenames. |

Programming Spectrum BASIC is very simple to program and the machine also spawned a whole generation of very talented machine language programmers.
