Shadow League Winners 1996

This Trophy was funded by us, not the Kingstanding
League, and we got one for every-one in the team. One of the reasons we left the
kingstanding league was lack of trophies. The league is money orientated and it came
to a head the following season when teams begun throwing games to drop places and qualify
for the shadow league.

The year we won this (1996) we finished up
with more prize money than teams several places above us which made a mockery of the whole
system.

The quality of players in this league was
and is excellent but we were more interested in having a few beers on a Tuesday night and
our motto became "WIN OR LOOSE WE'RE ON THE BOOZE". |
