Sea-Monkeys

On June 10th 1999 I caught the first glimpse of my new pets, "Sea-Monkeys".  I had not seen them on sale since I was a young boy until I was amazed to find some in Beaties, a store in Birmingham City center.   The kit cost £10 and for that I got a Micro-View Aquarium with a fluorescent pirate ship and light, water purifier, Sea-Monkey crystals, food and an aerator.  I had to fill the tank with boiled water, add the purifier and leave it for 24 hours.   Then I added the crystals.  After an hour or so I could see a couple of little things swimming around and after a few of days there were lots of them. This is the cover of the box, impressive or what ?  It looks like I am in for hours of fun with these little guys !

This is my Micro-View Aquarium complete with "Theatre of the sea" backdrop.  There is a small torch with a revolving head which fits neatly into the top.  With this  you can direct a beam of light into the tank and, in theory, the Sea-Monkeys should be attracted towards it.
