| I Watch. I watch, my heart trembling, My mind a race remembering, The first time that I laid my eyes on you. Your face, alive resembling, A sunny day assembling. Promised by the early morning dew. I watch you move, pretending, My gaze is not offending. An accidental meeting of the minds. And as the morning’s breaking, Like a rose, awakening. You blossom as the sun shines through the blinds. I watch as your are talking, My focus not averting, From every word and movement that you make. And whilst the words you’re forming, I listen to you breathing, And share in every gasp of air you take. I watch as you are walking. My eyes I feel diverting, To look away, so you will never know. | Times no friend. And each endless night, I wonder where you are. I look up at the sky, do you see the same star? And each endless day, so close and yet so far. Times no friend. And all of the time, the hours pass away, Things that I hear, things that you say. Every minute drags, like trying to swim in clay. Times no friend. And when I see you smile, the sparkle in your eye, Will I have to wait forever? It makes me wonder why. For every chance I miss, will another one come by? Times no friend. And as the seasons pass , winter, spring and fall, The hot days fly by quickly. Shadows soon grow tall. And yet the years pass slowly, until I hear you call. Times no friend.
