Kodak DC 210+

I have at last got a digital camera.  I have wanted one for some time now but they are not cheap so I had to save for a little while.  I opted for the Kodak DC210 Plus mainly after buying a few digital photography  magazines and  reading the various reviews and write ups.  The  DC210 Plus has a 2X optical zoom and macro facility down to 8 inches, which is great for photographing my models.  It has 8Mb of memory which will hold about 27 pictures at it's highest setting and well over 100 at it's lowest.  It has a flash and red eye reduction and you can adjust the exposure setting slightly.  It comes with a mains adapter and leads to connect to the PC or TV.

It also has an L.C.D. display on the back to preview what your taking and you can also review stored pictures and step though the camera's options.  However the display does eat the batteries so there is still an optical viewfinder.  The display is great for taking photos from difficult places or when you are using the self timer.
I found it really easy to use and I am pleased with the results.  The download is pretty slow although that is not to important in my case and there is a card reader available which would speed up the process 10X.  The camera got it's first run out in Blackpool at New Year1999, it was great with the review feature letting you decide there and then to keep each shot.

Above and below are some of the first photos I took at Blackpool with my new camera, everyone looks pretty happy and the quality is great.  I have reduced the resolution to improve the download speed but they are still impressive.  When we got home I plugged the camera into the TV. and we all had a good laugh at ourselves.
